Girls' and Women's Football
Girls' Regional Talent Club
The Regional Talent Club is a quality-assured programme that provides player-development opportunities for female players at Under-10s, Under-11s Under-12s, Under-14s and Under-16s.
It forms an integral part of the England Women’s Elite Talent Pathway, having been awarded a Tier 1 Licence by The FA, with the technical programme being led by an extremely talented and experienced coaching staff.
Unfortunately, due to the current situation with COVID-19 we will not be running any open trials for Season 20/21. We are pleased, however, that we have been able to retain a large number of our current players for next season, therefore we expect available spaces in our RTC to be very limited. We appreciate the decision not to run trials Is disappointing, however, we hope you appreciate the safety of all our players, parents and coaches is paramount during this period.
Please note that the situation around open trials may change for future seasons and we do recommend you keep an eye out for further opportunities.
Please note to be eligible to play for a FA Regional Talent Club:
- Players must live within 90 mins of the training ground.
- Players must have been born in England or their parents or grandparents were born in England, or they have been educated in England for at least 5 consecutive years.
Southampton FC run a Women’s team to support the player pathway from the Regional Talent Club and our longer-term ambitions of playing at the highest level of the women’s football pyramid.
