Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s Saints side welcome Reading to St Mary’s in the second round of group stage matches in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup.
Saints go into the game unbeaten since their last Continental Cup game on October 2nd, in which a new look side lost 2-0 away from home at Coventry United.
Reading also suffered a loss in the first round of games in Group E, as two first half goals from Tottenham saw Natasha Dowie only able to grab a consolation goal in the 90+11th minute from the penalty spot.
In their league campaign, Reading currently sit 11th in the league, having collected just three points from seven games.
The first of two Women’s Super League tests, Saints will be looking to put points on the board in Group E.

MANAGER’S NOTES
“Coming off the back of Sunday’s game, we know that we need to be replicating that first half performance for the whole 90 minutes.”
“Reading will be buoyed by their 3-3 draw with Liverpool earlier this week, and we’re under no illusion that this will be anything but a tough game.
“We have the opportunity to bring in different players who bring something different to the side and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can in front of another big home crowd.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Rachel Rowe is a long-serving Royal and has provided the side with pockets of brilliance, despite their struggling league position.
