Southampton FC will be delivering coach education seminars throughout September in three cities across India as part of the Club’s International Academy Partnership with Thane City FC in India.

Having kicked off in 2021, the partnership supports Thane City’s football development programme to create an environment that challenges, inspires, and encourages aspiring footballers, by enabling them to reach their fullest potential.

Located on the north-western side of the state of Maharashtra, the city is an immediate neighbour of Mumbai Metropolitan Region city and a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The coach Education conferences will take place in Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi.

Mark Abrahams, Director of Business & Community Development commented: “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to visit India. We work with Thane City FC throughout the year with a remote & digital support programme, but visiting India is a key part of our commitment.

"We’re looking forward to working with Thane City’s coaches and players, but also the wider coaching community in India through the Conferences."
