As Southampton FC Women make the exciting step up into the Barclays Women’s Championship for the 2022/23 season, the club is delighted to confirm that St Mary’s will play host to more Women’s games than ever before.

With St Mary’s set to host its first of three UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 fixtures this evening and as the appetite for women’s football in England grows ever stronger, seeing Southampton FC Women in action at the club’s stadium on a more regular basis will allow even more fans to be a part of the excitement.

Not only will Saints fans be able to witness the Women’s team make history in the second tier, but they will also be able to enjoy Vitality Women’s FA Cup and Continental Cup football which could see them take on FA Women’s Super League teams on a number of occasions.

Saints played a number of showcase fixtures at St Mary’s during the promotion-winning 2021/22 season, including a nail-biting extra-time FA Cup win against Championship side Bristol City and the league clinching 2-0 win against neighbours Portsmouth in front of over 5145 fans.

Those fans also helped Saints to make Snows Stadium a fortress last season, and AFC Totton will also continue to act as a venue for Women’s first team fixtures during the forthcoming season alongside St Mary’s.

With the programme having already gone full-time ahead of the Barclays Women’s Championship season, seeing the Women’s team step out more often at St Mary’s is a statement of intent as Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side continue to make history.

Women's Season Tickets will be available to purchase ahead of the new season, and fans are urged to register their interest to keep up to date.
