Southampton Football Club can confirm striker Michael Obafemi has completed a transfer to Swansea City.

The 21-year-old Academy graduate today formalised a move to the Championship side ahead of the transfer window closing, bringing his time at St Mary’s to an end.

Obafemi, who became a senior Republic of Ireland international during his time with Saints, departs after making 39 appearances for the first-team and scoring five goals.

The club would like to wish him well for the future, and thank him for his efforts during his time at Southampton.
