Southampton's B team have been drawn in Group G for this season's EFL Trophy, alongside Charlton, Crawley and Leyton Orient.
Charlton, now managed by former Saints boss Nigel Adkins, finished just outside the League One play-offs in 2020/21, whilst Leyton Orient and Crawley were only separated by goal difference amongst the middle of the pack in League Two.
Saints are one of 16 invited Premier League teams to take part in the competition, where they'll face off against clubs from League One and League Two for a sixth successive season.
The first round of fixtures will take place across Tuesday 31st August and Wednesday 1st September. Full details regarding the group stage fixtures will be announced in due course.
