Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse has withdrawn from the latest England squad as a precautionary measure with a tight hamstring.

Ward-Prowse had been called up by Gareth Southgate for the Three Lions’ friendly against Republic of Ireland and Nations League matches against Belgium and Iceland.

However, it has been agreed that he will now remain with Saints during the international break to receive treatment with the club.
