Players make wage donation to Saints Foundation

Southampton Football Club’s first-team players and coaching staff have announced they will be donating their wages from last Friday to Saints Foundation.

The squad has been in at Staplewood Campus throughout the weekend, working on putting things right for the club’s supporters.

As the first step towards that, the group has decided that they wish to donate their wages from the day of the Leicester game to Saints Foundation, in order to help the vital work that is conducted by the charity.

Firework show this Saturday

The countdown is on for Saturday’s firework show at St Mary’s.

Tickets for the event are on sale now which will take on the theme of The Greatest Showman with a fully choreographed fireworks display accompanied by your favourite songs from the hit musical.

In addition to the fireworks, there will also be spectacular live entertainment, laser display and circus-themed fancy dress competition with the best-dressed winning a prize.

Carabao Cup trip to Man City

Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side are back in Carabao Cup action on Tuesday night with a trip to Manchester City.

Saints have seen off Fulham and local rivals Portsmouth to convincingly reach the fourth round, now heading to the Etihad Stadium.

Kick-off is 7.45pm GMT.

Southampton FC Women blow away Poole

Saints emphatically reached the first round of the FA Women’s FA Cup with a thumping 11-0 win over Poole at AFC Totton.

A hattrick for both captain Shannon Sievwright and Rachel Panting - alongside individual efforts from Phoebe Williams, Shannon Albuery, Sophia Pharoah, Charley Evans and Alisha Ware - sealed the deal on a dominant afternoon.

Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side will now wait to find out their opponents in the first round proper after recording their biggest win of the season.

Under-23s host Feyenoord

The Under-23s begin their Premier League International Cup group stage on Tuesday night at Staplewood.

Dutch side Feyenoord will be the visitors in Group F, which also contains AS Monaco and Derby County.

Radhi Jaïdi’s side will be looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats in Premier League 2 in the midweek clash that kicks off at 7pm GMT.

Second trip to Man City

Southampton will return to Manchester City on Saturday in the Premier League. 

After travelling to the Etihad on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup, Ralph Hasenhüttl's side will return at the weekend.

Under-18s suffer Swansea defeat

Saints’ youngsters began their Premier League Cup campaign with defeat at Staplewood on Saturday.

Paul Hardyman’s side trailed 1-0 at half-time before Kazeem Olaigbe netted a deserved equaliser after the break.

However, two goals inside the last 20 minutes saw the Swans leave Hampshire with all three points as the group stage got underway.

The under-18s are next in action on Saturday 9th November when they head to Reading in the U18 Premier League.
