Southampton will visit Portsmouth in the third round of the Carabao Cup, having advanced past Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday.
The draw for the last 32 of the competition, which is no longer regionalised, was made on Wednesday evening, ahead of ties being played week commencing September 23rd.
Saints last faced Pompey at St Mary's in the Championship back in 2012, which ended 2-2 - Billy Sharp was twice on target for the hosts that night.
