Southampton’s game away to Manchester City in November may be given a new date.

Saints are due to visit Etihad Stadium on Saturday 3rd November for a clash with the champions.

However, should City progress past Oxford United and reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup later this month, the fixture would be moved to Sunday 4th November.

That is because City visit Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday 28th October, meaning any cup clash that week would need to be held on Thursday 1st November, which would, in turn, push that weekend's league fixture back a day.

Ticket information for the trip to Manchester City is yet to be announced, but will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The club would like to remind supporters that it advises against booking travel or accommodation for fixtures until they secure a ticket.
