Southampton manager Mark Hughes was delighted to send the Southampton fans into the international break with a victory to savour, after overseeing a 2-0 success away to Crystal Palace.
Roared on by a capacity away crowd at Selhurst Park on Saturday, Saints bagged their first win of the Premier League season, thanks to goals from Danny Ings and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, giving them an ideal boost ahead of the first pause in the schedule.
"The fans were magnificent," said Hughes. "You come here and see the number Saints have come with, it's brilliant.
"It's fantastic for us, and really pleased we were able to give them a really good afternoon out and give them a positive result leading into the international break."

Despite having a number of players away with their countries over the coming week or so, Hughes said there is still scope for plenty of good work to be done at Staplewood Campus.
"We've got something like 11 or 12 players playing at different levels of international football in the break," he said.
"We've got a good group that remains behind, so we'll get some good work with them.
"We'll give them a break over the weekend, then wait for everybody to come back and keep our fingers crossed that everyone will hopefully be ok."
