Southampton manager Mark Hughes praised midfield duo Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Mario Lemina for their performances in the 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.
Højbjerg sealed the victory with a strike in added time, atoning for his red card against Leicester a week earlier, but it was his and Lemina's overall displays that delighted the boss the most.
"I thought he was excellent alongside Mario in the middle of the park," said Hughes. "I thought they totally dominated the home side, in terms of their willingness to get on the ball and really be a powerhouse for us in that central area, so I was pleased with their performances.
"I can't question any of the guys' performances today, I thought to a man we were excellent."
Hughes again opted for Danny Ings, who netted the opener, and Shane Long in attack, and the manager also highlighted the efforts of Long throughout.
"He will always give you an outlet, and away from home he's the type of player that sometimes you need, just to give you a little bit of respite and just to hit the channels," he said.
"He'll chase lost causes for you and get you up the pitch, and that's why he got the nod today. We know he'll always give us everything."
