Angus Gunn has been called up by England Under-21s for their upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
The summer signing, who marked his competitive debut for Saints with a clean sheet in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win at Brighton, has been included in Aidy Boothroyd’s 23-man squad.
The young Lions will hope to strengthen their position at the top of Group 4 when they host second-placed Netherlands at Gunn’s former home, Carrow Road, on Thursday 6th September.
Five days later, Gunn will travel to Latvia to conclude the doubleheader of qualifiers for next summer’s tournament in Italy and San Marino.
The former Man City keeper has represented England at every youth level, and will be hoping to add to his 11 caps for the Under-21s.
