Harrison Reed’s Norwich City provided the perfect farewell appearance for veteran midfielder Wes Hoolahan with a 2-1 win over Leeds United at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.
Reed played the full 90 minutes for the Canaries who were treated to a goal and an assist from the departing Hoolahan who is to leave Norwich after 10 seasons and 352 games with the club.
Leeds’ Kalvin Phillips opened the scoring from 25 yards before Hoolahan levelled five minutes later with a deflected shot which beat keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell with the help of a deflection and the post.
The Irishman then assisted Josh Murphy who fired in to complete the comeback 21 minutes from time.
Sam Gallagher and Birmingham City will have to wait until the final day of the season to decide their Championship fate as a result of their 3-1 reverse at QPR.
