Matt Targett has stressed the importance of Southampton's final two friendly matches of the summer, as they prepare for the start of the Premier League season.
Saints have just returned from a training camp in France and now head into a pair of home pre-season games this week.
First up is a meeting with German side FC Augsburg on Wednesday evening (7.45pm BST), before Spanish outfit Sevilla are welcomed to St Mary's on Saturday (3pm BST).
Targett, who came off the bench to provide two assists in the 3-0 win over Saint-Étienne at the weekend, believes a big couple of days lie ahead.
"I think it's a massive two games," he said. "It's the last two games of pre-season for everyone to get more minutes and feel more sharp and put us in a good mentality going into the first game of the season.
"Getting a winning mentality early doors is very important and it will lead us well into the new season."
