Claude Puel says he is pleased to have the services of Sofiane Boufal at his disposal again after his recovery from a knee injury.
Boufal, who was due to travel to the African Cup of Nations with Morocco earlier this month, replaced Dušan Tadić against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
And he looked lively on his return on what ultimately proved to be a disappointing evening in South Wales.
Puel said: “He stayed six games out of the team with his injury and not going with his national team.
“It’s an important player for us who can make a difference and he can give his teammates very good balls.
“We will see for the next games but it is not just one player who can make the difference.
“I think if we start the game with more possibilities, with application I think we could have a good result and the quality to finish this game with a win but it didn’t happen tonight.”
