Claude Puel is expecting a different Swansea City to the side than the one they defeated 1-0 earlier in the season at St Mary’s.
Paul Clement has won two out of his three Premier League games in charge thus far, and the Swans are seeking successive top-flight wins for the first time since May 2016.
“It’s a strong game because with their new manager they have found a good solidity. They are strong at the back with good counter-attack and good situation,” Puel said.
“We will see this like we did against Liverpool but I hope we can do a good recovery to play good football.
Matchday coincides with the transfer deadline, and Puel says they will continue to assess options to enhance his squad before the close of business at 11pm.
Puel added: “It was important to see good management of my players against Arsenal. It was hard to take five goals without the possibility to play all of our players.
“But it was important to protect some players to keep a chance of playing good games against Swansea and West Ham United this week.
“With some injuries, it’s important if we can find a solution to improve the squad and see other players.
“It’s always a difficult window in January and we don’t know if we can find a good solution or possibility.
“I prefer to focus about my team and to try to keep them in a good fitness. This is the important at the moment for me.”
