Claude Puel says only a victory for Southampton away to Sparta Praha tonight will represent a good result.
Saints visit Generali Arena for the fifth match of their UEFA Europa League Group K campaign, with the standings still finely poised.
Sparta lead the way on nine points, with Puel's side two points behind in second. Hapoel Be'er Sheva are three points further back, with Inter at the bottom, four short of Southampton.
A win for Saints would see them into the knockout stages if Hapoel fail to beat Inter at home. Anything else will mean a decisive encounter with the Israeli side, at St Mary's, next month.
"It's an important game, because we can see this group is very difficult with good teams," said Puel.
"All the teams can still qualify and it's important to respect this good team with nine points at the head of the group. They also play at home, so it's very difficult.
"We know if we don't win then the last game at home will be decisive, but the concentration is with this game.
"I hope we can play a very good game and get a good result. A good result for me is just three points, because one point is not sufficient and it's important to get the win from this game."
