Southampton defender Cédric believes the team are heading in the right direction, as they prepare to host Sunderland tomorrow.
Saints have one point from their opening two matches and will take on a Black Cats side that are yet to get off the mark.
Speaking to Southampton's official YouTube channel, Cédric said: "We need a win and I think all the team is motivated in that way.
"We are doing well, we know we are in the right way, we just need the win at home – for our fans too – so me and my colleagues look forward to that game.
"I think even the last game, we lost 2-0 against Man United, but there were good moments in the game where we did well. We just need to keep going in the same way and I'm sure it will come."
While Sunderland have had a difficult start, losing to Manchester City and Middlesbrough, Cédric expects it to be a tough test.
"In the Premier League it's always very tough," he said. "Even if you have a difficult start you always have a good team, good players and a good spirit, so for sure it's going to be a difficult game and we will need to be on our best level to beat them.
"It's a big break now for internationals, and it's a big difference if you go to the break with a win. Your spirit is different, you feel much better. So, I'm sure we will fight to get those three points."
