Southampton will face Crystal Palace at home in Round 3 of the English Football League Cup.

Claude Puel's men will welcome the Eagles to St Mary's next month, as they look to progress to the fourth round of the competition.

It makes it a third successive season in which Saints will come up against Alan Pardew's side, having been knocked out of the FA Cup by the Eagles in 2015 and 2016.

The tie is to be played the week commencing 19th September, with an exact date, kick-off time and ticketing details to be confirmed in due course.
