Dušan Tadić says this week's tour to Holland is a special trip for him, as he prepares to face his former clubs, FC Twente and Groningen.
Tadić joined Saints two years ago from Twente, who are tonight's opposition (6pm BST), while he was with Groningen, who will welcome the side on Saturday, before that.
"It's really nice to play against your old teams, where you have a beautiful time," the midfielder told Southampton's official YouTube channel. "I had a really beautiful two years in Groningen first and then two beautiful years in Twente.
"A lot of things are changed there – I mean players. I didn't play with so many players that are there now, but still people who worked in the club are still there and it will be nice to see them. It's always nice to see people and to remember nice memories."
Tadić did not feature in the opening game of Southampton's tour – last Saturday's 4-0 win over PEC Zwolle – after being left out as a precaution, due to a slight leg issue.
Manager Claude Puel indicated he could be fit to feature against Twente, and Tadić himself is optimistic.
"It's much better," he said. "I just take a precaution. A couple of days I have a little bit of pain, but now it's much better and that's it."
