Højbjerg: Teammates have made life easy for me

Southampton’s most recent signing, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, says his teammates have made it easy to settle into life at the club.

The midfielder joined earlier this month from Bayern Munich and has quickly settled into his new surroundings.

Speaking to Southampton’s official YouTube channel while on the pre-season tour of Holland, Højbjerg explained that adapting had been a straightforward process for him.

"There's some very nice guys and I'm very happy here,” said the 20-year-old. “I really look forward to many years in Southampton.

"They're some fantastic boys, it's a good atmosphere and I just try to be who I am and they really accepted it and I'm very happy.

“Right now, I'm comfortable in the team, I feel good and I learn a lot. This is what I like as a personality and as a football player, to learn every day and try to do my best.”
