Southampton Football Club can confirm forward Sadio Mané has joined Liverpool for a club-record undisclosed fee.

The Senegal international departs after two seasons at St Mary’s, having joined from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2014.

Mané made 75 appearances during his two seasons with Saints, scoring 25 goals in total, including a record-breaking Premier League hat-trick in a 6-1 win against Aston Villa.

Everyone at Southampton Football Club would like to thank Sadio for his efforts during his time at St Mary’s and wish him well for the future.
