Southampton Football Club can confirm midfielder Victor Wanyama has joined Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

The Kenya international departs after three seasons at St Mary’s, having arrived on the south coast from Scottish outfit Celtic in the summer of 2013.

Wanyama went on to make 97 appearances in all competitions for Southampton, netting four goals in total and helping the club achieve three top-eight finishes in the Premier League.

He now moves to White Hart Lane, where he will link up with former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Southampton Football Club would like to thank Victor for his time at the club and wish him well for the future.
