Graziano Pellè has been confirmed in the final Italy squad for EURO 2016.
The Southampton striker has been with his country on their pre-tournament camp, scoring the winner in their 1-0 friendly victory over Scotland at the weekend.
Pellè has become a regular in his national team’s set-up since joining Saints in the summer of 2014 and will now take part in his first major international tournament, as part of head coach Antonio Conte’s 23-man squad.
The 30-year-old heads to the competition, in France, having racked up 12 caps and five goals for his country, while he is coming off the back of a season in which he netted 14 times for Saints.
Italy finish off their preparations for the European Championship with a home friendly against Finland next Monday.
They then begin their Group E campaign against Belgium on Monday 13th June, with matches against Sweden and Republic of Ireland following.
