Bertrand confident of a better result against City

Ryan Bertrand is confident Southampton can turn around their fortunes against Manchester City when the sides meet at St Mary's tomorrow.

City are the only Premier League team that Saints have failed to take a point from over the course of the last two seasons, but they will head into the latest clash in good form.

Bertrand himself is optimistic ahead of the game at St Mary's.

"There's been a few reasons possibly why we haven't managed to do quite as well against them as of late, but coming into this game we've got full confidence, we're at home and hopefully we can get a good result," he told youtube.com/southamptonfc.

"Always when we're in St Mary's we can rival any team, especially with the support we get from the fans, so hopefully we can make it a successful weekend."

For City, the game falls in between the two legs of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, but Bertrand doesn't expect anything other than normal service from them.

"Nothing less," he said. They're still fighting for things, and fighting for a respectable league position, so it will be just as big as any other tie."
