Jason McCarthy has extended his loan spell with Sky Bet League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers until 8th May.

The loan extension will mean the defender is available for Gareth Ainsworth's side until the end of their regular season, which concludes the previous day away to Oxford United.

McCarthy has made 20 appearances so far for the Chairboys, scoring two goals in the process to help Ainsworth's men to eighth in League 2.

The 20 year-old has shown his versatility, playing at right-back, centre-back and in midfield during his time with the club so far.

McCarthy will hope to be involved again on Saturday when Wycombe take on Luton Town at Adams Park.
