Ronald Koeman does not expect to have Graziano Pellè and Cédric available for Saturday’s trip to Norwich City.
The pair have been out since Christmas with respective knee and groin injuries, and have yet to return to training.
That means Koeman is unlikely to make many changes to his squad for the first game of 2016, although he will be without Oriol Romeu after the Spaniard picked up his fifth booking of the season in Monday’s loss at West Ham.
“I don't expect a lot of changes in the squad that we had last time,” the manager told youtube.com/southamptonfc this morning.
“I don't think that they (Pellè and Cédric) can play – they're still out for the weekend.
“It's part of football that you have to deal with injuries in your football players.”
