Pellè: Let's get back on track

Graziano Pellè says Sunday provides Southampton with a good opportunity to get their season back on track.

After disappointment in the Europa League on Thursday night, the Italian striker says the talking must stop as Ronald Koeman’s men go in search of their first Barclays Premier League win of the season.

Pellè, who has scored three goals in all competitions so far this season, says everyone will need to be together when the Canaries visit St Mary’s on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m sure with the quality of our group and with everyone believing in us that Sunday is a good opportunity for us to do really well and get back on track in a big moment,” Pellè told youtube.com/southamptonfc.

“The fans have been supporting the club for a lifetime and they of course are free to think many things. We have to give them back the feeling that we can have positive moments.

“They always show us a lot of love and patience. The club has improved a lot because of the great supporters. Together we can go one way to win the game and be back.

“Norwich come to play in St Mary’s and we are sure it’s going to be tough to beat us, but we have to show it. No words, just working hard to get the best result.”

Pellè believes the squad cannot look back as they bid to turn their fortunes around after a difficult start to the season, and insists the right mentality and hard work can help do just that.

“We have an amazing group. We don’t have a problem with each other. Football is a lot about confidence,” he added. “When the result doesn’t come everything looks like it is not your moment.

“For me personally as a player I have had a few bad moments but with the right mentality and hard work, I always achieve amazing targets.

“We can’t anymore think about what has happened. Of course we have to look at the game to improve, but now there is a new season,” he continued.

“We need to work hard to again try to get the same things we did last season. We will do our best and we will be sure that we will have better moments.”
