José Fonte and Cédric Soares have been called up for Portugal’s September clashes with France and Albania.
The Saints duo will link up with their countrymen following Sunday’s Barclays Premier League game against Norwich City.
Portugal host France in a friendly on Friday 4th September, before travelling to Albania three days later for a 2016 UEFA European Championship qualifier.
The Selecção currently have a two-point lead at the top of Group I with three games to play, meaning a victory could give them a good chance of reaching next summer’s finals.
Fonte and Cédric, who to date both have four caps each, will return to Southampton ahead of the side’s trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 12th September.
