Representatives from Southampton’s sponsors and partners were joined by a selection of former players at the club’s golf day on Wednesday morning.

The event was supported by official navigation & fitness device partner Garmin, who – along with adidas – contributed a range of prizes, and took place in glorious conditions at Stoneham Golf Course.

Four-player teams from the likes of Veho, adidas and Southampton Solent University were joined on the course by former Saints stars Franny Benali, Gordon Watson, Hugh Fisher, Reuben Agboola and Manny Andruszewski.

It was the club’s official water provider Hildon who took home the day’s top prize, closely followed by Vision Accendo and – in joint-third – aap3 and Watson’s team.

Mark Abrahams, the club’s Director of Commercial & Community Partnerships, said of the event: “The occasion offered a great environment to thank our many partners and associates who support the club throughout the year.

“Bringing our partners together is important and reflects the club’s values and aspirations to extend our partnerships programme beyond the traditional matchday.”

Gail Cook, Marketing Communications Manager at Garmin UK & Ireland, added: “The event was a great success and provided a welcome opportunity to get together with other business leaders in a relaxed and informal setting.”
