José Fonte, Victor Wanyama and Fraser Forster spoke to the media after Southampton's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at St Mary’s on Sunday.
Here’s what the trio had to say:
Fraser Forster on how big the point against Chelsea was…
“It’s fantastic. It’s always tough playing twice in 48 hours. Against Chelsea you’re always going to be worked and they’re going to have a lot of possession. It’s a fantastic point and it just keeps the momentum going after two fantastic results. It carries us on nicely to the Arsenal game.
“It was a fantastic performance defensively. It was a great team effort. We made them work really hard and it’s a credit to everyone, from Graziano [Pellè] all the way back.
“We’ve really limited their opportunities and that’s what you have to do against teams like Chelsea. We can be really pleased with that. It’s just important we recover well and move on to the Arsenal game.
“We’ve played really well against some of the bigger teams in the league and we’ve probably not had that bit of luck or not quite seen it through, so it was nice to come out of the game with something.”
Victor Wanyama on a point being a good result for Saints…
“I felt we should have won but Chelsea are a very decent team. It was a tough game but we’re happy with the draw. It’s a bit disappointing the manner they scored the goal, I thought it was a foul but they played on.
“At least we have one point, it’s a positive for us. We had a tough time with injuries and suspensions but we have bounced back well and hopefully we can continue this.
“Everyone in the league is very good, we want to work hard and improve from last season – that will be a positive thing. We just need to keep our feet down, keep on working the same way we are working and I think we can stay up there.”
José Fonte on the defensive display against José Mourinho’s side…
“It was good, but we still conceded one goal. But considering the firepower that Chelsea have and the pressure they’ve put us under, it was quite pleasing the point.
“We’re disappointed to concede in the last minute of the first half, in the way that it was, but, at the end of the day, you have to agree they put a lot of pressure on us and we did a good job and we got a good point.”
