Robbo in Bolton loan

Saints Development Squad player Andy Robinson has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until 3rd May.

The former Under-18 captain made his First Team debut – a bow that proved to be his solitary appearance so far for the senior side – as a substitute in a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the Capitol One Cup Third Round in September 2012.

Robinson has since struggled with long-term injuries that have hampered his progress, with the midfielder making a return at the tail end of 2013 for several encouraging Under-21 appearances.

Andy, who hails from nearby Bournemouth, has been with Southampton since the age of eight.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to aid Wanderers’ push up the Championship table as the Whites currently sit 17th in the table.
