Steven Davis has been called up by Northern Ireland for next week’s friendly against Cyprus.
The Saints midfielder is one of 20 players selected by Michael O’Neill for the International Challenge Match, which takes place at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia next Wednesday at 8pm local time.
Davis joins Dejan Lovren, Gastón Ramírez and Artur Boruc in receiving call-ups for their senior international sides, while Calum Chambers, Harrison Reed, Sam Gallagher and Matt Targett have been selected at youth level.
Steven, who has 65 caps for his country, will join up with his compatriots after this weekend’s game against Liverpool and return to the Club before the trip to Crystal Palace the following Saturday.
Also named in the latest Northern Ireland squad is Saints Academy graduate Ben Reeves, who is called up for the first time having impressed for MK Dons since leaving Southampton last summer.
