Maya Yoshida has become the eleventh senior Saints player to be called up for international matches over the next fortnight.
Yoshida is in the Japan squad for their upcoming Kirin Challenge Cup friendlies, as they take on Ghana next Friday in Osaka before hosting Guatemala in Yokohama four days later.
The defender will head out to Japan after this weekend's game against Norwich City, and will then return to Southampton ahead of our home match versus West Ham United on Sunday 15th September.
Yoshida joins ten other First Team players who have already been called up for international games beginning next week.
Also heading off are Artur Boruc (Poland), Emmanuel Mayuka (Zambia), Dejan Lovren (Croatia), Rickie Lambert (England), Gastón Ramírez (Uruguay), Steven Davis (Northern Ireland), Luke Shaw, James Ward-Prowse (both England Under-21s), Lloyd Isgrove (Wales Under-21s) and Calum Chambers (England Under-19s).
