Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that adidas will become its Official Technical Supplier from this summer.

As of 1st June 2013, the Club will enter into a long-term partnership that will see the sportswear giant produce our team kit, replica kit, training wear, leisurewear and equipment.

adidas has an impeccable footballing pedigree across the world, with Saints joining a club roster that features club sides including, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and the newly-crowned UEFA Champions League winners Bayern Munich.

They also provide kit for national teams including current World Cup holders and European Championship winners Spain, as well as the likes of Germany, Argentina and Japan.

adidas are the official ball supplier to FIFA for the World Cup, Confederations Cup and Club World Cup, as well as to UEFA for the Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup.

The global reputation and strong sporting heritage possessed by adidas therefore makes them the perfect technical partner for Southampton as the Club seeks to realise its ambitions over the coming years.

Dominic Fawcett, Chief Commercial Officer at Southampton Football Club, commented: “This is a fantastic time for us to be partnering with adidas.

“As our progression as a team, club and business continues we are very excited to be involved with such an innovative and prestigious brand."

Our 2013/14 home and away kits will feature ClimaCool and ClimaLite technology – a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics designed to facilitate air flow to the skin and in key heat zones.

Steven Holland, Senior Manager, Clubs at adidas commented: “Southampton Football Club is a very welcome addition to our portfolio of clubs. When we first met with them, it was clear to see the plans and ambition the club has for the future both on and off pitch. This was naturally a fantastic opportunity for adidas to add value to and be an integral part of the journey the club has embarked on.”

Saints’ first adidas-produced strips will be unveiled later this summer on and via our official Twitter, Facebook and Google+ accounts.
