Leeds United substitution: Pascal Struijk replaces Luke Ayling
A late change for the hosts.
Southampton substitution: Nathan Tella replaces Ché Adams
Welcome back, Nathan!
Forster denies Ayling
Leeds are beginning to throw caution to the wind late on, as Ayling has his cross punched away by Forster. Buckle in, Saints fans...
Armstrong's ball to the back stick sits up nicely for Livramento, but the teenager slices through it and it doesn't trouble Meslier's goal.
Gelhardt chips a ball into the box that threatens to fall for Rodrigo, but Salisu is on hand to make sure the ball runs out for a goal-kick.
Into the closing stages we go with the game still finely in the balance.
Last-ditch Diallo 👏
Raphinha thinks he's going to get a shot off on goal, but as he swings his left leg, Diallo gets a toe to the ball and wins a free-kick in the process.
A stop-start spell ⏯
The game has lost its tempo slightly, with a serious of injuries and set-pieces slowing down proceedings.
KWP takes a knock 🤕
The full-back takes a whack from his teammate Forster, but both are going to be okay to continue.
Dallas hits a volley from just inside the box which Forster punches away, but the goalkeeper collides with Walker-Peters in the process and the duo need some treatment.
Leeds United substitution: Kalvin Phillips replaces Mateusz Klich
A return to action for the Leeds fans' favourite.
Southampton substitution: Stuart Armstrong replaces Oriol Romeu

A first switch of the afternoon for the home side.
Yellow Card for Luke Ayling (Leeds United)
The Leeds defender goes into the book for catching Walker-Peters in the face. The Saints full-back has been unstoppable down the left.
Tame from Diallo
The space opens up for Diallo to try his luck from long range, but the midfielder's strike lacks venom and is an easy one for Meslier to collect.
A let off from Raphinha
It's been all Saints in the second half but Leeds should probably be back in front. Rodrigo leads the breakaway and eventually squares the ball for Raphinha, but the Brazilian's left-footed shot from just inside the box is blazed over the bar.
Broja fires wide
Saints are full of confidence now and almost take the lead. Livramento's low cross finds Broja at the near post, but with the ball slightly behind him his effort flies just wide.
HE'S DONE IT AGAIN! 🤯
Another one for the collection! It's sensational from Ward-Prowse who whips another free-kick into the top corner that Meslier cannot keep out.
James Ward-Prowse (49’) | 1 – 1
Free-kick in Ward-Prowse territory 🚨
Real tenacity from Walker-Peters who somehow weaves his way through a number of challenges before finally being fouled. It's a nice distance for Prowsey, around 25 yards to the left of goal.
Into the second 45 ⏱
We're back under way at Elland Road. Come on, Saints!
HALF TIME: Leeds 1-0 Saints
A high-octane half of football at Elland Road and the hosts have the lead at the break courtesy of Jack Harrison's scruffy effort. Jesse Marsch's side have enjoyed the better of the play in Yorkshire and will feel worthy of their lead, but Saints have threatened in spells and have gone close through Ché Adams and Moi Elyounoussi. A big second half ahead.
Saints responding well
Since Leeds opened the scoring, Saints have been well on top. Ralph Hasenhüttl will be pleased with his side's response to going a goal behind.
Walker-Peters goes close!
That's not far away! Leeds only half clear a corner allowing Adams to the lay the ball off for Walker-Peters, but the left-back's first-time strike flies just over Meslier's crossbar.
How's he saved that?! 😱
Romeu brilliantly reverses a pass into the path of Adams in the box and the striker twists and turns to engineer a yard of space, but his shot from 10 yards is brilliantly saved by the fingertips of Meslier.
Harrison opens the scoring
Raphinha does well to dig out a cross on the byline which Forster can only palm into a dangerous area, where Harrison is waiting to convert from close range.
Jack Harrison (29’) | 1 – 0
Ward-Prowse drives to the by-line with the ball and delivers a menacing low ball, but Llorente gets a toe to it just as Elyounoussi is ready to fire home from six yards.
Adams engineers space
Adams takes it upon himself as he cuts inside onto his weaker left foot and shoots from the edge of the box, but it takes a deflection and goes out for a corner.
No goal ❌
The hosts have the ball in the net from a corner, but the goal is ruled out for a foul in the build up, as Bednarek is pushed in the back while trying to head clear.
Adams almost pounces
Under pressure from Adams, Ayling's back pass lacks a bit of weight, but Meslier is alert to the danger and just about beats the Scotland international to the ball.
Perfect timing, Ori 👏
The pace of Dan James causes trouble once again as the Leeds man surges deep into Southampton's half, but just as he's about to release Raphinha, Oriol Romeu slides in to thwart the danger.
James stings the hands of Forster
Dan James is slipped in behind and goes for goal from the right-hand side of the box, but Forster has narrowed the angle well and parries away the strike.
A first chance for Saints
A good opportunity for the visitors. Livramento makes a trademark darting run down the right and crosses into a dangerous position with Adams laying the ball off for Elyounoussi, but the winger slips as he shoots and it's an easy one for Meslier.
Harrison charges down the left wing and feeds a ball into Raphinha close to the byline, but the Brazilian's cross is straight into the arms of Forster.
And breathe 😅
That was some start from the hosts, but Saints seem to have survived the early onslaught.
Klich off target
Leeds have encamped themselves in the Saints half and a sustained spell of pressure almost results in the opener. Klich decides to go for goal from 20 yards, but his effort is a yard or two wide.
Llorente heads wide
Salisu's defensive effort was almost for nothing, as Llorente gets his head to the corner, but it's just wide of Forster's goal.
What a tackle, Sali!
Leeds hit Saints on the break and Rodrigo's through ball seems to set Dan James clear, but Mohammed Salisu stretches every sinew to get a toe to the ball first.

Ralph is an incredible human being. That’s the first thing that needs to be said, that he is a really good person that cares about people and cares about his teams and the environments that he creates and then he’s a sharp, intelligent manager and I think he believes in a lot of the same principles and philosophies that I believe in in football.”jesse marschon ralph hasenhüttl
