Leeds dangerous in the final third
It's a similar tale in the second-half, Saints are seeing a greater portion of the ball but it's Leeds that look really threatening in the final third. A double save needed from McCarthy, firstly clearing Raphinha's ball off the line and then Alioski's rebound shot.

First real chance from Ings since his introduction after the break, but his strike goes over the crossbar and into the stands.

Leeds hit the counter-attack and Bamford charges towards goal, Alex McCarthy is caught in no man's land, Bamford finds his way around the Saints goalkeeper but relief for Saints as Vestergaard sees the ball behind for a Leeds corner.

Almost out of nowhere, Dallas fires a storming shot towards goal but Alex McCarthy stays alert and gets his fingertips to the ball to deflect it behind.

Adams fires a shot towards goal but Casilla pushes it behind for another Southampton corner. James Ward-Prowse's corner finds the feet of Nathan Tella but the ball is hard to control and his shot lifts over the crossbar.

Leeds shift the momentum
Saints have dominated much of this opening half at St Mary's so far but that doesn't mean Leeds aren't looking incredibly dangerous on the attack. Harrison finds Raphinha on the right who slots the ball into Dallas but the ball goes well wide.
Attacking prowess on display
Nice work from Adams on the wing who tries to find Tella in the box, but Casilla beats him to it and clears.
Saints push forward
Tella curls in a beautiful ball to Theo Walcott who takes on an out-of-position Casilla. A lucky escape for the goalkeeper as Walcott passes the ball back into the box.
Leeds starting to counter
The first real action inside the Saints box as Harrison attempts to find Bamford, but Vestergaard is there to clear the threat.

Ward-Prowse gets behind the dead ball for Saints, a familiar sight this season. His ball loops in to the box but it's cleared by the Leeds defence.

It's been an inspired opening start to proceedings here at St Mary's. This time it's Ché Adams that finds himself in a dangerous position on the attack, he finds Nathan Tella who releases the shot but is ultimately ruled offside.

An energised Nathan Tella charges down the wing for Saints and works his way into the penalty area, crossing back to Stuart Armstrong whose shot finds the safe hands of Kiko Casilla.
