15.18FULL TIME: Saints 1-1 Chelsea
And that's it from St Mary's this Saturday afternoon. After Takumi Minamino's shot gave Southampton the lead after 33 minutes it was looking promising for Hasenhüttl's men heading into the break. A Mason Mount penalty brought the visitors back into it and the points are shared at the close of play. Saints' losing streak in the Premier League has come to an end and we march forward to Leeds on Tuesday.
Corner for Saints
Tella charges down the wing for Saints and crosses the ball into Adams but the ball goes behind for a corner.

We're into the dying moments at St Mary's and the score is still tied. Can Saints press for the winner? We've got 3 minutes to find out.
Wasted opportunity
Chelsea approach the box again. This time it's Mason Mount who loops the ball into Reece James on the far post. The shot is skewed and his effort skims by the right side of the post.
10 minutes ⏰
We're approaching the end of the second-half here at St Mary's and the teams remain tied. It's been much more open this half, with both sides working the ball forward and getting into attacking positions. How it will end? Time will soon tell ...

Chelsea hit the counter attack hard and Mason Mount gets a shot on goal but Alex McCarthy flies across his posts to clear the ball for Saints.

Saints stand strong
Chelsea have a dangerous free kick on the edge of the box. It's Marcos Alonso who lines up to take it but his shot goes straight into the wall and the threat is cleared.
Chelsea equalise
Saints give away a penalty as Danny Ings charges in on Mason Mount in the box. No surprise, Mount has the ball in the back of the net and Chelsea get the equaliser shortly after the break.
GOAL

Salisu strong 💪
As expected, Chelsea have come out fighting after the break and have been playing with some real pace. Debutant Salisu again makes a couple of important blocks, with Jan Bednarek also showing strong form for the Saints.
Back to it at St Mary's ...
We're back underway as Southampton lead Chelsea 1-0 on the south coast. Let's go for a big second-half!
HALF TIME: Saints 1-0 Chelsea
An interesting first-half at St Mary's. Southampton take the lead over Chelsea with their first attack on goal, but what a goal it was. Exceptionally composed from Takumi Minamino, who scores his second Premier League goal for the club since coming in on loan. A big 45 minutes ahead 💪
3 additional minutes ...
Moussa Djenepo spent some time down after a late challenge from N'Golo Kante. Relief for Hasenhüttl as after some treatment, he's back on the pitch and ready to carry on. Three minutes added on to the first half here at St Mary's.
Chelsea search for an equaliser
Tuchel's men pick up a free-kick in a threatening position and set their sights on goal but McCarthy gets a hand to it and the ball passes behind for a corner.
MINAMINO STRIKES AGAIN 🔥
A clinical finish from Takumi Minamino who picks up Nathan Redmond's ball and slots it into the back of the net. Cool and composed, that was a beautiful finish from the Japan international.
TAKIIIIII
Ignore what we just said ... Saints first real attack on goal and Takumi Minamino gets the ball in the back of the net. Come on you Saints!

Chelsea in control
N'Golo Kante attempts a long-range shot but it goes straight into the arms of Alex McCarthy.
Strong start from the debutant
While Chelsea have had the large majority of possession, Mohammed Salisu has had a promising start to his Premier League debut so far, making a couple of crucial interceptions. Long may it continue ...
Strong clearance from Djenepo
Chelsea charge forward once more but Djenepo is there with a crucial block to send the ball behind for a corner. The visitors take the corner short and the ball eventually ends up in the safe hands of Alex McCarthy.
Chelsea pressing
It's a pretty even game here so far at St Mary's but it's Chelsea who have some real threat to them. Tuchel's men are controlling the ball nicely in the centre of the pitch but neither side have made a real breakthrough yet.
Chelsea charge forward
Chelsea are playing with some real confidence and look very threatening on the attack. Some lovely play from Timo Werner on the halfway line gives Chelsea a breakaway chance. Reece James loops the ball into Marcos Alonso but his shot goes wide.
