FULL TIME: Burnley 1-1 Southampton
It's all over at Turf Moor, where Burnley have snatched a point in the very last minute of stoppage time after Jack Stephens handled a high ball into the box and Ashley Barnes dispatched the resulting spot-kick. The Clarets will argue they deserved a penalty in the first half, when Barnes was instead booked for a dive, before Nathan Redmond continued his fine form with a superbly-taken opener.
Barnes equalises from the spot
It's all square at Turf Moor, as Barnes slots home the penalty with virtually the last kick of the game.

Crucial interception from Vestergaard!
Burnley continue to apply pressure. This time they take the low road with a cross from the left, but Vestergaard slides in front of Barnes to intercept and concede a corner.
Barnes crashes one against the woodwork!
So unlucky for Burnley, as Barnes meets a knockdown on the volley with a sweet strike that beats McCarthy but smashes against the angle of post and bar.
🔟 minutes to go... 😰
Saints are standing firm, but Burnley are applying the pressure and it's an aerial bombardment for the visitors to deal with. Dig deep, lads! 💪
Great save from McCarthy!
A crucial block from the Saints keeper, who rushes out to deny Barnes after Crouch caused problems in the air.
Barnes glances wide
Burnley are putting more and more crosses into the Saints box. Gudmundsson swings one in from the right, but Barnes's glancing header drops a couple of yards wide of McCarthy's far post.
Burnley beginning to apply pressure...
Saints have been comfortable in this second half, but Burnley are beginning to throw caution to the wind, and Peter Crouch is warming up. We've got 2️⃣0️⃣ minutes to go...
Tarkowski close to an own goal...
Saints continue on the front foot, as Tarkowski uncomfortably slices his clearance just wide of the near post from another dangerous Targett cross.
YESSSS REDMOND!!!
Saints are in front! Brilliant individual goal from Redmond, who nutmegs Cork and rifles a low shot past Heaton from 20 yards, low into the bottom corner. That goal has been coming!
GOOOAL!!!
Nathan Redmond (55’) | 0 – 1
Ward-Prowse goes close!
Saints are well on top now 💪 Targett crosses from the left and Ward-Prowse meets it with his head, but Heaton is down sharply to his right to make a smart save.
Off the line! 😱
Saints go sooo close, as Targett's corner is inadvertently headed towards his own goal by Wood, but man on the line Bardsley clears the danger.
Armstrong fires over
Straight from kick-off there's a half-chance for Saints, as Armstrong drives towards the box and lets fly from 20 yards, but it's too high to threaten Heaton's goal.
We're back up and running!
The second half is under way here at Turf Moor. Come on you Saints!
HALF TIME: Burnley 0-0 Southampton
It's half time at Turf Moor, where the home fans are very unhappy with the performance of referee Anthony Taylor. The big talking point is the non-award of a penalty after Alex McCarthy collided with Ashley Barnes, who was booked for an alleged dive. The game remains in the balance, with chances few and far between at both ends.
2️⃣ added minutes...
Burnley have a free-kick as the fourth official displays two added minutes, but it's safely caught by McCarthy.
Barnes's cross flashes across goal
Intelligent pass from Westwood to pick out Barnes, whose first-time cross on the volley is intended for Wood, but just eludes his strike partner. Burnley have improved as the first half has worn on.
Yellow Card for Phil Bardsley (Burnley)
Another card for the hosts, as Bardsley joins Barnes in entering the book.
Yellow Card for Ashley Barnes (Burnley)
Saints have got away with one there. Barnes gets in behind the defence and reaches the ball before McCarthy, who appears to bring him down, but instead referee Anthony Taylor shows a yellow card to the striker for diving. That has not gone down well...
Wood shoots over
Burnley striker Wood breaks into the box and cuts inside Stephens, but his shot is blazed over and McCarthy isn't troubled by that.
Armstrong denied by Heaton
Armstrong finds space to let fly on his left foot from 20 yards. He strikes it well on his weaker left foot, but Heaton is equal to it.
Saints survive goalmouth scramble
That's the closest Burnley have come. A deep corner is headed back across goal by Mee, but Vestergaard makes a brave block to deny Cork before Ward-Prowse completes the clearance.
Targett slides in...
A wonderful cross from the right from Ward-Prowse, operating at wing-back this afternoon, seeks Targett flying in the at the far post, but he can't quite reach it to wrap his foot around the ball and flies away off his toe. More positive intent!
Saints on top 💪
It's been an encouraging start from Saints, who have had the better of this game so far. Chances are at a premium, but it's the visitors who are applying most of the pressure.
High and wide from Vestergaard
Saints get on the front foot again, as Targett wins the ball high up the pitch. Vestergaard steps forward and tries his luck from 30 yards, but it's well off target. Just shows the confidence Saints are playing with.
Ings goes close!
A brilliant ball in behind the Burnley defence releases Ings, who goes through on goal but out comes Heaton to stand tall and make a crucial save. Slattery goes charging after the loose ball and is late into a crunching tackle, but avoids a booking for his troubles. He's clearly pumped up!
McCarthy saves from Barnes
First chance of the day is for the home team, as Barnes gets his head to a cross from the left, but it's straight at McCarthy, who makes a simple save.
We're under way at Turf Moor!
Saints get straight on the attack in a positive start for the visitors...
