Last updated 11 Sep 2020Fleming began his professional career with hometown club Halifax Town where he made his debut aged 16. Spells at Oldham, Norwich, Wolverhampton and Rotherham followed, before the defender called time on his playing career at Kings Lynn in 2008.
During Norwich's 2004/05 Premier League season Fleming played every minute of every game (38 apps), spending the most minutes on the pitch of any top flight player.
In March 2015, Fleming left his role as first-team coach at Lowestoft Town, and joined the Saints Academy as Under-18 coach, before becoming Assistant Under-23s Coach in the summer of 2018.
He became a First Team Assistant Coach initially on an interim basis following the arrival of Ralph Hasenhüttl in December 2018, with the role then becoming permanent in July 2019.
