Ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with Burnley, catch up on the key talking points from Ralph Hasenhüttl's media address...

On the winter break…

“Everyone used their few days off to recover and recharge their batteries. Everybody is back and is fit – the whole squad.

“It seems like the guys used the time to get their energy back and this is good.”

“If we had won against Tottenham then it would have been nicer, but we didn’t. Now we have to concentrate on the league and find our way back to the winning track.”

On James Ward-Prowse…

“Today [Thursday] was the first time back on the pitch. We tried to keep him out as long out as possible, as players always like to come back on the pitch.

“He handled it well, I think. We must now pay attention that the cut is not going to open again, but it looks good and hopefully he can play at the weekend.”

Ward-Prowse returns to training

On Kyle Walker-Peters...

“We have Kyle who can play for the first time and Yan Valery is back, so we have a few more options and the squad has a very good balance.

“Kyle has trained now for a few weeks and showed that he can help us and I think has learned our habits and our behaviours, which is important for him.”

On the reverse fixture...

“It is always difficult to play against Burnley. We lost 3-0 and we know how tough it always is.

“I think we want to show that we are better now than we were at the beginning of the season.”

On Shane Long…

“I don’t know if I have to update because always the message was 36 points – it's a good message to get focus on games and performances.

“In the end the time will come, and I am with the fans that want to see Long in the team because I enjoy watching him play.

“He is something of a player that is a symbol of our philosophy – a hard-working guy who always leaves everything on the pitch for the team and club.

“He’s not the top scorer but he is so important, and people love him.”

On keeping the winter break...

“They should never lose the games over Christmas because it’s traditional and the whole world is watching us, so don’t stop this.

“But we can maybe think about making the break a little bit earlier, maybe at the end of the window, so we can concentrate on the players and have more time to do this.

“But I think it was more for the Champions League clubs to have a rest before going into the European games.

“But maybe we can talk about this schedule at the end of the season with the FA Cup but, in the end, it was important for my players.”
